Paternity Leave
According to the New Labour Code of 2024, three (3) days of paid paternity leave are granted to a salaried worker. This entitlement is specifically provided for workers who are the legitimate spouse of a woman who gives birth. The law also allows this minimum entitlement to be improved by collective agreements or employment contracts where more favourable conditions are negotiated.

Flexible Work Option for Parents / Work-Life Balance
The law does not require employers to provide parents with minor children (or workers with other family responsibilities) with flexible hours or part-time options as an enforceable entitlement. Part-time and telework exist as legally regulated forms, but they operate through the contract/collective agreement framework rather than as a mandatory accommodation for parents.
