Congé paternité

La loi ne contient pas de dispositions explicites sur le congé de paternité. Toutefois, les employés peuvent prendre au maximum dix jours par an de congé spécial payé, non déductibles du congé annuel à l'occasion d'événements familiaux touchant directement leur propre foyer

Congé parental

La loi ne contient aucune disposition relative au congé parental, toutefois, un congé spécial d’absence est autorisé, dont les détails sont mentionnés ci-dessus sous congé de paternité.

Flexibilité du travail pour les travailleurs avec enfants mineurs et autres reponsabilités familiales

Aucune disposition relative à la flexibilité du travail n’est prévue pour les parents d’enfants mineurs.

Congés pour motifs exceptionnels

In accordance with the Labour Code, employees are entitled to a maximum of 10 days per year of paid special leave for family events directly concerning their own home. A decree issued after consultation with the National Labour Advisory Board shall determine the procedure for implementing this sub-section.

This leave can be utilised for events such as the death of a family member, marriage, or other significant family-related occurrences.

According to Decree No. 75 / DF / 29 of 10 January 1975 laying down rules on special leave of absence for family events, exceptional leave of absence shall be granted to a worker in the event of family events affecting his or her own home, under the following circumstances and conditions:

  • marriage of the worker (3 days)
  • death of father, mother, spouse, child( 3 days)
  • delivery of the worker's wife (3 days)
  • marriage of a child (1 day).

Within the limit of 10 days per year, such permissions shall not be subject to any deduction from the wages of workers paid on a monthly basis; they shall be paid to workers paid on an hourly basis, on the basis of the hours actually worked in the service during the period of permission.

In addition, unpaid Leave for Educational or Union Activities may be granted to employees, not exceeding 18 working days, to attend courses exclusively devoted to workers' education or trade union training.
